Today I bring you sobering news. A cousin of mine was shot a few days ago and died this morning.
George was a gentle, loving young man. He never looked for trouble and was always looking out for his younger sister.
I am coming to you all right now asking that you lift up his family in prayer as they cope with the loss of their beloved son and brother. His parents are Blaise and Angie, two older brothers Eddie and Danny, and younger sister Christina .
Please also pray for the young man that shot George. He is in jail and being charged with murder.
This is a picture of George that I found from around 1999. He was still quite young in this picture. My husband and I are standing with him.
We will miss you very much George.

Thank you to James for providing me with a much more recent photo of our cousin George. This picture was taken August 18, 2007 at Dave and Karen's wedding. George caught the garter.

I'm so sad for you and your family...know that nothing is allowed to happen without God knowing about it. He is in control of everything. He loved George more than anyone. There is purpose under heaven for everything. Blessed be the name of the Lord. We will keep you in prayer. Stay strong in the Lord and in His might.

Thank you Gloria and Julie for your comments and most especially for your prayers. The viewing was held today and services are tomorrow. It is a great time of confusion as everyone processes how such an amazing young man could be murdered. I do know that the Lord is in control and has a perfect plan even in this tragic death. May the Lord bless you both and your families.

I'm so deeply sorry for your loss! I'd like to make your pain go away but I can't... but I'm sure George is up there in heaven smiling down proudly on his family and his friends! He'll be your guardian angel!
